So much of what we do today is driven by software. And the same is true of automated time and attendance. It is the time and attendance software that drives the system!

» Seamless Payroll Interface: Truly state-of-the-art time and attendance software will effortlessly and seamlessly output edited payroll data to any payroll processing software.
» Allow for Editing: It should collect, compute and store raw payroll data, but state-of-the-art time and attendance software permits that data to be edited by those authorized to do so, and maintains an audit trail of all edits.
» Benefit Day Accrual: In addition to tracking actual time worked, time and attendance software keeps track of both accrued and used benefit days.
» Management Reports: Basic time and attendance software collects and stores data, but the more effective time and attendance software produces reports and outputs data that helps managers manage more effectively.
» Job Cost Data: Some time and attendance software programs include job costing or ABC (applied benefit costing) data that helps multi-product, multi-service or multi-location businesses allocate their labor costs across different divisions, departments, product lines, customers or projects.
» Total Integration: The newer time and attendance software packages integrate with access control, scheduling, HR, accounting and other software to create a highly integrated time and attendance system.
